Announcement for Recruiting WF in the Social Sciences
Writing Fellows (a peer tutoring program) is now accepting applications for Winter 2010. Writing Fellows are assigned to work with a certain class in their major, coaching students as they write two papers. We work with several social science classes each semester.
Being a Writing Fellow offers the following benefits:
All accepted Writing Fellows must take a 3-credit training course (this is where the advanced writing credit comes in) the first semester that they work. This class meets Tuesday and Thursday from 1:35-2:50 P.M. We also encourage a 2-semester commitment to the program if you are accepted.
For more information and to download the application, go to http://www.writing.byu.edu/

Founded in 1999, The Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (ICD) is an international, not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation with headquarters in Germany. As one of Europe's leading organisations in the field of cultural exchange, the ICD is at the centre of a global network of independent partners in both the public and private sectors. Our collective mission is to enhance the process of international and interregional human interaction by improving the very fabric of social relations.
Further information about the ICD can be found under: http://www.culturaldiplomacy.org/
Enquiries should be addressed to info@culturaldiplomacy.org
The Student- Provo City Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to uniting students, long and short-term residents, and local government leaders in improving the community by giving students a voice in the community, helping students contribute to the community, and creating a centralized resource to give local government leaders better access to student ideas, volunteers, and resources. We are currently promoting voter registration for all Provo city residents (students and long-term), but we especially hope to register students because traditionally they do not register or vote in local elections in significant percentages. The voter registration deadline is 30 days by mail and 15 days in person before elections. This year the primary election is September 15, and the general election is November 3rd.
The Utah Voter Registration form can be downloaded from http://elections.utah.gov/VoterRegistrationForm.pdf. In the next month we will be compiling candidate questionnaire responses and video interviews on our website <http://www.studentprovocityalliance.org/>.
