I am an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department at Brigham Young University and a Research Fellow at the Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy.

My research interests include political psychology, political behavior, political communication, and political participation.  Much of my research explores how citizens participate in and experience democratic institutions and processes, with special attention to democratic and deliberative theory.  I employ a variety of research methods and am especially interested in using lab, survey, and field experiments.
