Neylan McBaine, co-founder and CEO of Better Days 2020 and founder of the Mormon Women Project, spoke at the Public Affairs Lecture Series on February 8. She said that the most important thing students can do in order to become a professional is to learn to write well.

The February 1 Public Affairs Lecture Series installment featured Taryn Davis Holland, senior associate at Development Gateway. Taryn focused on the importance of transparency when working with clients.

Prof. Adam Dynes spoke with Julie Rose on BYUradio's Top of Mind on January 31. He and Julie discussed President Trump's first State of the Union address and how the president defined his first year in office.
Over 50 BYU students met with 44 professionals in January for the annual BYUPAS Speed Mentoring Event at the Utah State Capitol. Each student received hands-on mentoring as well as advice on educational plans and career goals.
Prof. Quinn Mecham recently appeared on BYUradio's Top of Mind with Julie Rose. Prof. Mecham evaluated several predictions from 2017 and made some new ones for 2018.
