Meet Alessandra Carbajal, a junior in Political Science, who recently attended the "Future Women in Government" conference in Washington, D.C. Alessandra was given this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity thanks to generous college funding.

BYU Women in Politics has been very active this semester. Learn more about their opening social and their featured event, "Women On Politics," a TED-talk-style gathering held in October, featuring faculty from all over BYU campus.

The Fall 2017 edition of The Political Science Post, our department newsletter, focuses on the Middle East. It also features information on faculty research, department and club activities, and both student and alumni spotlights.
Thomas B. Edsall of the New York Times recently referenced the research of Professors Mike Barber and Jeremy Pope regarding their paper, "Does Party Trump Ideology? Disentangling Party and Ideology in America." Read more here.
