On March 8, Peter Valcarce of Arena Communications spoke at the weekly Public Affairs Lecture Series. He said one of the most important life lessons he has learned is to not be afraid to lose and to admit your mistakes.

Prof. Quinn Mecham joined Julie Rose for BYUradio's Top of Mind for his monthly visit on March 14. Prof. Mecham discussed three world events, including Trump's tariffs, China's president, and the Italian election results.

The BYUPAS Salt Lake Chapter's Sunday Night Fireside on March 4 was a great experience. Ally Isom, Director of Institutional Messaging for the Church, spoke about learning from the frontier of life and discovering your identity.
​We were fortunate to hear from Christina Tomlinson, Minister Counselor for Public Affairs for the U.S. State Department at Brussels, at the March 1 Public Affairs Lecture Series. She encouraged students to have a well-rounded life and work hard to achieve their dreams.
The Public Affairs Lecture Series on February 22 featured Sam Lyman, chief speechwriter for Senator Orrin Hatch. Sam's advice included a recommendation that students both spend time cultivating their professional image always follow the Spirit.
The 2018 G. Homer Durham Lecture featured Mehrsa Baradaran of the University of Georgia Law School. Her topic was "The Color of Money: Black Banks and the Racial Wealth Gap." Learn more about Ms. Baradaran and watch a recorded of her lecture on our blog!
