I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Brigham Young University. Most of my teaching and research deals with the issue of peace and war between states. My research interests include the international effects of revolutions, ideology and international relations, the interaction between domestic instability and international politics, and great power politics. My book, Revolutionary Contagion and International Politics, investigates when leaders fear that a revolutionary movement is spreading to their own polity and how that affects international relations. I received a PhD from the University of California Los Angeles.
