Her Excellency Bergdís Ellertsdóttir, Ambassador of Iceland to the United States

Ambassador Bergdís Ellertsdóttir is the first woman to be appointed Ambassador of Iceland to the United States, a position she has served in since September 2019. She has extensive experience and has worked on international trade as well as security issues, multilateral, and bilateral issues in her long career within Icelandic Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
