Shalom Goldman is the Pardon Tillinghast Professor of Religion and Middle Eastern studies at Middlebury College. Goldman is the author of several books, including Zeal for Zion: Christians, Jews, and the Idea of the Promised Land; Starstruck in the Promised Land: How the Arts Shaped American Passions about Israel; and Jewish–Christian Difference and Modern Jewish Identity: Seven Twentieth-Century Converts.
