Hourly Wage: $15 to $20 DOE
Professor Dynes is looking to hire a temporary Research Assistant who is proficient in Python. The job will entail using a document parser ( like this one) to turn PDF documents containing data on municipal officials into Excel spreadsheets.
This job can be done from home. The expectation is that you work at least 4 hours a week until the project is completed. It may only take 4 hours to complete.
If you are interested in applying, please submit your resume and unofficial transcript to adamdynes@byu.edu. Priority will be given to those with experience using a document parser to convert data found in PDF's into spreadsheets.

National Suicide Awareness Month - Alternatively, it is also National Suicide Awareness/Prevention Month. Everyone is affected by suicide, not just the victim. Suicide impacts family and friends long after the loss of a loved one. On average, one person commits suicide every 16.2 minutes. Two-thirds of the people who commit suicide suffer from depression.
