BYU POLITICAL SCIENCE

News & Events
September 28, 2021
Information Session, Wed., Oct. 6, 5 pm, 238 HRCB (Kennedy Center)
Join the department at our biggest (and most fun) event of the year on Tuesday Oct. 5th at 6 PM for OKTERBERFEST! All political science and affiliated majors and minors are welcome. Attendees will enjoy J-Dawgs, s'mores, and entertainment from the Faculty Cover Band. Come prepared to make new friends at this fall-themed shindig and beat your favorite professors (or students) at Jeopardy.
Why is maternal mortality still a problem in the United States? What causes educational disparities for racial and ethnic minorities? How can I be an ally for people with disabilities?

At the Ballard Brief Summit, you’ll hear answers to these questions and many more. This event includes multiple breakout rooms where attendees get to learn from engaging student presentations about current social issues and cast their votes for their favorites to win cash prizes. Changemakers teach future change makers as everyone involved further experiences the integral value of deep research in solving social problems. Plus, there will be Crumbl cookies!

Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 30th at 6:00 pm and RSVP at  https://tinyurl.com/bbriefsummit21. There are a limited number of seats, so don’t wait!
