In the last few months, Ukraine has been front and center in the news and current geopolitics, whether it is about war with Russia or a connection to Donald Trump’s impeachment trial. A country with a rich heritage, it has struggled since its newly won independence with economic woes, political corruption, and an aggressive neighbor. In this session, our expert panelists will discuss the importance of Ukraine’s history, culture, socioeconomics, and politics to understanding its place in European and international contexts.
